The index is a subset of the Dow Jones U.S. Index, which aims to provide 95% market capitalization coverage of U.S.-traded stocks. It represents the Consumer Services Industry (5000) as defined . Under the ICB classification system, all stocks are classified into one of ten "industries". The consumer services industry is one of those 10 industries.
