Seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Select Dividend Index. The starting universe for the index is the S&P Emerging BMI, excluding REITs. For China, only stocks of companies that trade on Hong Kong or U.S. exchanges are eligible. The starting universe of stocks in the index universe must pass all of the following screens to be included in the selection pool: 1) Must have a non-negative trailing 12-month earnings-per-share (EPS). 2) Indicated annual dividend yield must be greater than 0%. 3) Must have paid dividends during each of the past three years. Stocks passing all screens are ranked in descending order by indicated annual yield, defined as a stock’s indicated annual dividend (not including any special dividends) divided by its price. The top 100 stocks are selected as index constituents. No more than 30 stocks can be selected from any single country.
