HEFA iShares Currency Hedged MSCI EAFE ETF

Seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the MSCI EAFE Index, while mitigating exposure to fluctuations between the value of the component currencies and the U.S. dollar. HEFA does not directly track the MSCI EAFE Index. Rather, HEFA owns shares of EFA, the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF, and then performs currency hedging using forward contracts. The Index is includes large and mid-cap securities across developed markets, including countries in Europe, Australasia and the Far East, excluding the U.S. and Canada. The Index is available for a number of regions, market segments/sizes and covers approximately 85% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization in each of the countries. The Index is a market capitalization weighted index. The number of countries considered to be a "developed market" can change. MSCI has a formal process of evaluating each year which countries should be classified as a "developed market".
